Top rate, simple Italian food and good wines at a reasonable price. Friendly service. I'll use it whenever I'm in the area.

My family and I ate at this restaurant the evening before the London Marathon. They were busy and working only half staffed. They still found time to serve good, reasonably priced food with a smile and even found time to stop and talk with most of the customers without leaving others waiting. I have to say that I have yet to find this kind of service anywhere else in the UK and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. We will definitely be coming back!

I went to Cosmoba with a friend for a quiet Wednesday night dinner. The food was simple, real Italian cooking: nicely grilled sardines with garlic, some good trout meuniere and a wafer-thin veal escalope milanese. What really let them down was the service. At the end of the meal, the waiter handed the credit card slip to my male friend, despite the fact that the card has "Ms" and my name on it, then huffed when I pointed out that the card was mine. I left the "gratuity" line blank. The waiter remonstrated with me, trying to make me amend the credit card slip, and when I said I wasn't willing to pay service for this, started shouting right there at the table that the waiters didn't work "for charity" and he thought me very rude! The scene this created left the evening completely soured and of course, did little to encourage me to leave a cash tip.

"I happened to find this restaurant after a long days shopping and thank god I did! If you're after simple Italian food, with good service and a lovely atmosphere then I have to say that this is the place. The Tiramisu is the best I've ever tasted! Will be going back everytime when I go shopping in London."

"This has got to be the worst Italian (or for that matter any other) restaurant I've ever visited. Any deep frozen supermarket spaghetti would be preferable to the substandard fare I was served. The service was also lacking; at least they are consistent."
