The sensous smells that greet you at the door provide an accurate hint towards the quality of food served at the Angel Curry Centre. The cosy and unpretentious atmosphere of this small restaurant hidden on Chapel Market is echoed by the very modestly priced set menu with a range of familiar Indian curries and starters to choose from. The dishes may appear small but since you are given five in the set menu you certainly will not need to order extra. Everything tasted above Indian-takeaway-standard; I particularly recommend the Pashwari naan - a warm naan filled dessicated coconut and sweet spices - which complimented the the Bhuna curry nicely. The staff were polite but not indulging, they were dressed smartly and served me almost wordlessly with a smile. This restaurant is perfect for a night out with friends - cheap, cosy and a better yet similarly-priced option to takeout in front of the TV.
